    Hello and welcome to this eLearning course on industrial solar heating and cooling!

    We are happy to present you this topic within the framework of the AIT eLearning platform as an advanced training module. The contents was developed in the course of the EU-co-funded project "HyCool" within the European Union's H2020 programme Grant Agreement No. 792073.

    In this course, we present you detailed information on two industrial solar heating and cooling demo systems that have been installed at the companies Bo De Debò and Givaudan near Barcelona in Spain in 2020/2021.

    We explain the system concept as well as many details on the key technologies: Fresnel solar thermal collector, latent heat storage (PCM storage) and a hybrid heat pump. We provide you a lot of practical and theoretical information, which we developed throughout the project. This should hopefully assist you in your own solar heating and cooling system that your are planning or operating.
